Wow, can you believe May, June and July are done? Three months already vanished, simply memories, pages written down in a book. I don't know if I have much to show for it, but they were for the most part enjoyable. A friend of mine was kind enough to invite us out to his cabin this past weekend. It was a lot of fun, but one incident showed me the true colors of having 'too much fun.' After a night of excessive drinking seemed to be winding its way down, my two friends began verbally insulting each other. Of course both felt they were in the right and the other was in the wrong. Alcohol can be fun, but when you begin to see the opposite side of its effects, you begin to think. I saw two close friends come close to physical blows, and it's always disturbing to see that. Thankfully I believe for the most part the incident was put in the past and all is back to normal again. I believe the moral of the story here is everything in moderation. But overall, great trip. On the water all day and in the evening we were blessed with bountiful meal after meal. So thanks for having us Brendan. It's always great to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all, and just relax, even if it's just for a few days.
Here's to the last month or so of summer. I hope to see those who I haven't seen this summer even if it be for a simple ten minute conversation. If I don't hear or see from you have a safe and fun August, and all the best for you in the fall in university, work, or whatever it may be.
